After You Arrive
When you arrive at our office our friendly staff will greet you, take your completed forms and seat you in our comfortable waiting area. In a few minutes your name will be called by a staff member holding your chart. They will show you around the office, take you to your treatment room, and they may do height, weight, and blood pressure at this time.

Meeting the Chiropractor
When you first meet your chiropractor they will ask you to share your area(s) of discomfort. Then the doctor will conduct a physical exam. This exam typically includes a variety of assessments, such as palpation, reflex testing, muscle strength comparisons, range of motion tests and neurological and orthopedic tests. That is a lot of fancy language, but we promise that none of it is painful or embarrassing. These basic tests just allow the doctor to see all the areas that need to be addressed by your chiropractic care.
The doctors at Sioux Falls Chiropractic like to give you an x-ray at your first appointment, if your medical condition allows. This gives them a baseline to work from in all future appointments. It is a painless and quick procedure that is done right in the Sioux Falls Chiropractic office!

Treatment
After your x-ray the doctors will take you back to the treatment room and perform basic adjustments to realign the spine. The doctors at Sioux Falls Chiropractic all use the integrated method of adjustment which means that they switch between 5-6 different methods of chiropractic care depending on your individual needs, limitations, and pain level. The doctor may incorporate some non-manipulative techniques such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation and cold laser therapies in order to get you the relief you seek.
-
Post Treatment
Once your treatment is complete, the chiropractor will discuss whether you need further treatment for your issue. The goal is always to leave you better off than you were before. The body likes to revert back to old habits, so for the best results, the doctors do recommend basic follow up care, just like maintaining a car or home! Some conditions do require multiple visits over the course of a few days or weeks. These visits will normally taper off once your body has recovered.
